Legendary TV and film composer Bruce Broughton (IMDB) will be speaking to VPA members on Jan. 16th thanks to a collaboration between Virginia Commonwealth University and Richmond district chair Steve Taylor. During his prolific career, Broughton has earned 23 Emmy nominations for ‘Hawaii Five-O,’ ‘Jag’ and ‘Tiny Toon Adventures’ with a record 10 wins. The evening will include a discussion of movie music and the business of movies. We will delve into how film music works and what makes film music effective.
